A Baby Shower

Hi There!

Today I am going to share a baby card a friend asked me to make for her. She was going to a shower and the mum to be doesn't know if she is having a boy or a girl, so the card needed to be neutral.

I used the Baby Bundle stamp set, matched with the Nursery Suite DSP. I stamped the pram image onto some watercolour paper and used an aqua painter and some watercolour crayons to colour in the image.

The sentiment on the front and inside come from the same stamp set. I used some Certainly Celery cardstock to mat the DSP and finished the card off with some Basic Pearls.

I used matching CS and DSP to decorate the inside of the card as well.

I decorated the envelope using the cute little onesie from Baby Bundle. I coloured one in and paper pieced the other two, using matching DSP.

(All SU unless otherwise stated)
Stamp sets: Baby Bundle
Cardstock/ DSP:  Whisper White, Certainly Celery, Nursery Suite DSP
Inks: Staz on, Watercolour Wonder Crayons
Accessories: Basic Pearls, Decorative label punch, Word Window Punch, Watercolour Paper

Flirtatious 40th Gift

A quick post tonight to show you the matching gift I made for my friend to go with this card here.

It once again uses the Flirtatious Speciality DSP. I made an acrylic post it note holder, with matching pen and gift wrapped it in a matching bag.

I used the Delicate Doilies stamps to decorate a white paper bag. The tag was made using the Perfect Pennants Die. The card stock was Wisteria Wonder.

Father's Day Take 2

Hello there!

Today I have another Father's Day card to share. This card was for my husband from the girls and I. He plays guitar, so I thought the Extreme Guitar image would be perfect!

This card is a case of another card that I have made previously (see here). That one was a case of a Kristy Brown card....I think???

I used a Baja Breeze base, teamed with Pear Pizzazz and So Saffron. The background stamping on the card was done with the Grunge Rock Stamp set. All of the layers were distressed and sponged with Crumbcake ink to give it a grungy, dirty look.

The sentiment is a mixture of "U ROCK {my world}" from the new hostess set, Perfect Words and the "Happy Father's Day" from Teeny Tiny Sentiments.

The inside was decorated very simply, using two of the stamps from Grunge Rock. Leaving plenty of room for 6 year old handwriting!

(All SU unless otherwise stated)
Stamp sets: Extreme Guitar, Grunge Rock, Perfect Words (Hostess Set), Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Cardstock/ DSP:  Whisper White, Baja Breeze, Pear Pizzazz, So Saffron
Inks: Crumbcake, Baja Brezze, Pear Pizzazz, Basic Grey
Markers: Pear Pizzazz

A Flirtatious 40th

Hello there! Today I have a 40th Birthday Card for you, once again using my fave of the moment, doilies!

I am entering this card into The Paper Players Challenge #62- Birthdays.

This card was for a friend that I work with who turned 40 last weekend. I used the beautiful Flirtatious Speciality DSP, which is my fave at the moment. I paired the DSP with some Crumbcake and Wisteria Wonder card stock. The Doily is once again one of the Pumpkin Pie Doilies cut from the speciality paper and using the white side.

I used some chipboard numbers over the decorative label punch, with some Whisper White Satin Ribbon, finished off with a Rhinestone Brad, some flowers and a trinket pin. Here is a close up of the detail.

I decorated the inside using the Lace Border Punch and some matching DSP.

(All SU unless otherwise stated)
Stamp sets:
Cardstock/ DSP:  Whisper White, Crumbcake, Wisteria Wonder, Flirtatious Speciality DSP
Accessories: Lace Border Punch, Whisper White Satin Ribbon, Clear Rhinestone Brad, Decorative label punch, Chipboard numbers, Flowers and Trinket Pin (own stash)

Father's Day Take 1

Well three posts in four days is an improvement! I wonder how long I can keep this up? Thank you to everyone that left comments on my blog the last few days! It is really lovely of you and it makes my day to read them all!

To update you, I had a sad mishap with the card from my 'Sending Extra Love Your Way' post. This was a sympathy card I had made for a dear friend who had lost someone special. I went to the florist and had it sent with a bunch of flowers. I hadn't heard from my friend after they were sent, which I thought was quite strange. So I texted her to ask if she had got the flowers, which she hadn't. I was out and about, so on the way home I stopped in at the florist. She said that they had been sent and that the delivery guy had sent in his report to say that they had been delivered. So we were left with a big mystery!

My theory is that the delivery guy went to the wrong house and someone has accepted the flowers that aren't theirs!  The florist was very apologetic and bent over backwards to rectify the situation. She made another bunch up and delivered them to my friend herself after work on Saturday night. This would have taken her at least an hour out of her way round trip! I was very grateful that my friend received her flowers, but she didn't end up with my card! I can't believe someone would take flowers, when they are clearly not theirs, especially when they were in sympathy!!

Enough rambling from me! Today I am going to share one of the Father's Day cards I made. This one was for my FIL, Poppy Pete.

I used a Baja Breeze base and I then cut circles from various sheets of green DSP. I adhered these to the card and trimmed them to use these as the hills. I used the ever trust cupcake punch and lattice embossing folder to make my air balloon basket, and the cupcake frosting as clouds. I sprayed the clouds with some shimmer mist, though you can't see this in the photos. I used the 1 3/4" circle punch and the large oval punch to cut some retired DSP, which became the balloon. I attached this to the basket with some linen thread.

I finished it off with a sentiment flag. I used the 'happy' from the 'happy birthday' in the Grunge Rock set, and the 'Father's Day' from Teeny Tiny Sentiments. I stamped these onto some Crumbcake, using Baja Breeze ink and added a Designer Big Button and some baker's twine.

I decorated the inside quite simply, with some matching card stock and DSP.

(All SU unless otherwise stated)
Stamp sets: Grunge Rock, Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Cardstock/ DSP:  Baja Breeze, Whisper White, Crumbcake, Chocolate Chip, Brights DSP stack, Retired DSP
Markers: Baja Breeze
Accessories: Scallop Border Punch, Large Oval Punch, 1 3/4" circle punch, Linen Thread, Cupcake Builder Punch, Big Designer Button, Baker's Twine, Shimmer Spray, Lattice Embossing Folder

I hope everyone had a lovely Father's Day!

Birthday Doilies

Hello there. I am back again with another doily card as promised. :)
A few weeks ago a dear friend of mine celebrated her birthday so I made this card to pop into the post.

Are you loving the new in colours as much as I am? I will be going through quite a few packets of them I think! For this card I used the beautiful Wisteria Wonder. I teamed it with some Elegant Eggplant, white and Certainly Celery.

I started with a Wisteria Wonder base and stamped the Delicate Doilies stamps in Elegant Eggplant and Whisper White. I then used the new Lace Border punch to punch a strip of Elegant Eggplant card stock. I cut off the bottom 4cm of the front of the card and added the lace strip to the bottom. I wrapped a piece of Certainly Celery Grossgrain Ribbon around the card to cover the join at the front and on the inside of the card. I tied the ends together with a piece of twine to make the ribbon look like leaves. I then took the 2 3/8" Scallop Circle punch and the large Scallop Circle punch to punch out some white tissue paper. I scrunched these up and then unfolded them and layered them up. I then sprayed the flower with some Shimmer Mist and added some Rhinstone Bling.

I then stamped a matching envelope to finish it off.

(All SU unless otherwise stated)
Stamp sets: Delicate Doilies
Cardstock/ DSP:  Wisteria Wonder, Elegant Eggplant
Inks: Elegant Eggplant, Wisteria Wonder, Whisper White
Accessories: Lace Border Punch, Scallop Punches, Grossgrain Ribbon, Rhinestones, Bakers Twine and Tissue Paper  (own stash)

Sending Extra Love Your Way

Once again I must unfortunately start this post with an apology for my lack of blogging. Winter has not been kind to my family the last two years, as someone seems to be constantly sick, and the loving family we are, we love to share! Hopefully I can get a good run on blogging again in the next few weeks, before the school holidays are upon us and the kidlets are at home.

The new catalogue is out, it started yesterday! Very exciting. Have you had a chance to have a look? So many beautiful goodies! If you would like to purchase a catalogue please contact me and I will arrange to send one to you. It is a gorgeous catalogue filled with gorgeous products!

My fave stamp set at the moment is Delicate Doilies! Get ready for doily overload, I have already made many a card with this set.

This first card I made last night for a very dear friend who lost a special person in her life. I wanted her to know that she was in my thoughts and in my heart. I'm not sure if she reads my blog, but if she does, she should hopefully have received this card by the time she reads this post. If you are reading, big hugs my special friend! xx

Not only do I love the Delicate Doilies stamp set, but also the matching Flirtatious Speciality DSP. The sheet I chose to use on this card co-ordinates with Pretty in Pink, Melon Mambo (got to love it!) and Whisper White. The DSP pack has two sheets of gorgeous die cut Doily sheets. One in Melon Mambo and one in Pumpkin Pie. Loooove them!

Now finally a look at the card!

I started with a base of Pretty in Pink and layered a strip of Melon Mambo and a strip of the DSP. I used the new Perfect Pennants Big Shot Die (so much new big shot goodness!) to cut a white doily to put under the Melon Mambo die cut doily from the DSP. I did this so the Melon Mambo doily would stand out more and not get lost in the DSP. I stamped my sentiment (non SU!) in Melon Mambo on Whisper White card stock  and punched it out using the decorative label punch.

I then layered these and added some Whisper White Satin Ribbon, a Rhinestone Brad, some flowers and trinket pins. I decorated the inside simply as I wanted plenty of room to write. I stamped a sentiment from Occasional Quotes (retired hostess set) and used Versamark to lightly stamp some doilies in the corner. These are difficult to see in the photos.

If you have any questions about this card or the new catalogue, please feel free to contact me.

Also please leave some comment love, it always brightens my day to read your comments, and to know that someone has taken the time to reach out to others. Something I try to make sure I do, but have been a little slack of late!
