Well as I said in my last post, a friend had asked me to make a cricket card for her husband, and this had me 'stumped'! :)-
Cricket is definitely not on my radar!
I am actually quite proud of myself and pleased with the result. What do you think?
I used card stock to create a bit of a cricket 'scence'. I made the stumps and bails from some Crumbcake CS, adding some score lines to the bails. The bat is also made from Crumbcake CS, as well as Night of Navy and Poppy Parade for the handle...not sure of the correct cricket terms! I snipped into some Old Olive CS to make some grass and punched some Whisper White CS with the Build a Cupcake Punch for the clouds. The ball is a red button. I finished it off by stamping the 'Happy Birthday' sentiment from Grunge Rock in Chocolate Chip ink.
I also decorated the inside with a cricketer, using the All in the Family set.
The sentiment is from the Hostess set, Afterthoughts. I added some Crystal Effects to the ball to give it a shiny appearance.

Well done Sarah! You've done a fabulous job achieving this request. Clever you!
ReplyDeleteExcellent! For someone who is not forced to be involved in cricket (unlike myself, with 3 cricket-mad males in the house), you've nailed this challenge, Sarah. Great, great card.
