40 and Fab!

Hi there!

Today I have a 40th birthday card that I was asked to make by a friend. I love to use flags/buntings on my projects, and if you have been following my blog lately you will know that I also love to sew on my cards as well. I have combined both of these elements for this card.

I have used the new Framelit dies to make the base for the 40. I used the dies to cut and emboss a piece of 'Pretty in Pink' Cardstock. The card base is Crumbcake and I have used various DSP for my background and bunting flags.

I have used both a straight stitch and a zig zag stitch on the card and have given a tattered look by rolling and tearing the DSP.

I added some coloured rhinestones as a finishing touch.

The inside of the card was decorated with a matching framelit and a sentiment flag. The card reads '40....and fabulous!'.

Please leave a comment, I always love to read them!
Thanks for stopping by.

Cased

Today I have a cased card. It was inspired by the amazing Teneale Williams. This is one seriously talented woman!!
I needed an engagement card and this was just perfect! I have changed the colours up a little, using Regal Rose, (love it!)  Chocolate chip and Very Vanilla Cardstock. It uses the Sweet Summer stamp set (Sale a bration) and once again the beautiful Well Scripted for the sentiment. The hearts are made by using my newly acquired Heart to Heart Punch....so cute!

I just love the scallops at the bottom of the card. I think they really make it. They have been stamped with the same image on the front of the card, using Versmark and sponged with Regal Rose ink. The DSP comes from the Brights Patterns DSP stack.

The inside is decorated also, using the same elements as the front. I just love casing Teneale's work. I have another one earmarked to do soon, so keep an eye out.

Materials:
(All SU unless otherwise stated)
Stamp sets: Sweet Summer, Well Scripted
Cardstock/ DSP: Brights Collection Patterns DSP Stack, Very Vanilla, Regal Rose, Chocolate Chip, Veramark
Inks: Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake, Regal Rose, Old Olive
Accessories: Taffeta Ribbon (Very Vanilla),  Dimensionals, Heart to Heart Punch, Scallop Edge Border, Sticky backed pearls, Blender Pens

Please contact me if you require any info and feel free to leave me a comment, I love reading them!

Off with the Birds.......

I'm back again as promised.....I wonder how long that will keep up! :)
Well my blogging is off to a flying start! I am mad for Aviary at the moment, and yesterday I made four cards using this set! I might pace myself and post one each day, otherwise we may be in for the feast and famine I was talking about! :)
My creation today is a case of a card by the very talented Danielle Daws. Love her work!
I have changed up the colours and have used ribbon instead of the Seam Binding, as it isn't available in Australia. I popped the little birdy in the cage up with a dimensional, more due to a mistake with the birdy placement, but I like it! I have used a Filagree Desginer Brad with a Clear Rhinestone Brad centre. Love a bit of BLING!

This card would be great to mass produce, you could alter each slighty by changing the placement of the cages, birdy and the bow.

Materials:
(All SU unless otherwise stated)
Stamp sets: Aviary
Cardstock: Crumb Cake
Inks: Crumb Cake and Basic Black
Accessories: 3/8" Taffets Ribbon (Pretty in Pink), Filagree Designer Brad, Clear Rhinestone Brad.
