Today I have a card that I promised to post ages ago. I totally forgot and just found it in my files! It is the card that this card here was based on.
It uses the Perfect Princess stamp set and Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder. Of course it includes my favourite, Melon Mambo!
This card went to the lovely little Miss Jemma for her birthday. I hope she liked it!
Don't you just love that large bling brad and the luscious twine I added to the flower. Here is a close up of the detail.
I used my lovely seam binding for the bow and ribbon detail. I ordered what I thought was a heap of this, but I have almost run out and am going to need to order more! I use it all the time, if you haven't noticed! Hehe.
I also decorated the inside of this one.
I repeated the crown, border and seam binding detail from the front of the card.
Materials:
(All SU unless otherwise stated)
Stamp sets: Perfect Princess, Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Cardstock/ DSP: Regal Rose, Whisper White, Crumbcake
Inks: Melon Mambo

Have a MONSTER birthday!
Hi there!
Before I show you my card today, I have some exciting challenge awards to share.
Firstly, this card won this weeks challenge over at A La Card Monkey. It was for the Girly-Girl Challenge. That means I get to be a guest designer again. Yay! I always so enjoy the challenge.
The second award is from a few weeks back, but with my lack of blogging lately I haven't posted it yet!
This card won top spool over at The Ribbon Carousel for the Anything Goes Challenge and it was also a Cut Above over at the Paper Players, also an Anything Goes Challenge. Thanks so much ladies for your votes!
Today's card is another Owl Punch card, but with a difference!
I have used the punch to make little monsters. I had to make a card for my nephew's 9th birthday, so I didn't want anything too babyish, but also not anything too grown up. I think this was a good compromise. I first saw these monsters made by Kathryn Lowe at Katlo Designs. So cute!
The clouds were made using the Cupcake punch. I have sprayed them with Shimmer Mist, but it is not easily seen in the photo. The background is one of the stamps from Grunge Rock, repeatedly stamped to look like a background stamp.
I also made a different monster on the inside, but forgot to take a photo of it. :(
Please contact me if you require any info and feel free to leave me a comment, I love reading them!

Girly - Girl
Hi there!
Today I have a girly, girl card for the latest A La Card Monkey Challenge. Here is the brief:
Just think "girly-girl" and sit down to create something that's full of sugar and spice and everything nice.
Here is the sketch. For my card I turned the sketch on its side, to fit with my image. This card is for a sweet little friend who is about to turn four. I hope she loves it!
I made this ruffled ribbon by adhering double sided tape to the back of the satin ribbon. I then ruffled and stuck down white seam binding on each side of the satin ribbon. Here is a close up of the ribbon detail.
I have used the Create a Cupcake stamp set and the Build a Cupcake punch to make my cupcake. I have used some champagne shimmer mist on the top of the white icing and the pink flowers, not sure if it shows up in the photo.
Please contact me if you require any info and feel free to leave me a comment, I love reading them!

Grunge Rock Extreme Guitar
Hi there!
Today I have two similar cards to show you. The first card is a CASE, except mine is a little dirtier, more sponging and distressing. The second is a slight variation of the first. I am sure that I CASEd this from Kristy Brown, but I have searched and searched her blog and can not find it!! If I remember where I saw it I will let you know.
I first came across this card when searching for inspiration for a card for my 11 year old nephew, Jesse. As I've said before I'm not great with boy cards and don't have many suitable stamps. When I saw this I knew it would be perfect as Jesse plays the guitar and it is perfect for the age group as it is grungy and cool.
I pressed the chipboard stars into the stamp pads to colour them.
I have used Baja Breeze, So Saffron, Whisper White and Riding Hood Red. The stamp set is Grunge Rock with Extreme Guitar used inside.
The second card is very similar but is a simpler version and uses Extreme Guitar on the front.
I think these are pretty cool, and I'm happy with how they turned out. I love the sketch and plan to use it as inspiration for some more cards.
Please contact me if you require any info and feel free to leave me a comment, I love reading them!

Sew Sweet
Hi there!
Well it's been quiet here in blogland as my girls are sick again. My eldest has had tonsillitis and croup, and my youngest has a cold. I'm also starting to feel not the best this afternoon, so I may be down and out tomorrow as well! Don't you just love it when they share! :)
Luckily I had a few cards made, that hadn't been blogged.
Today's card is an all purpose card, could be used for birthdays, thank yous or just because. It uses the Sew Sweet stamps and the Sweet Stitches DSP. The colours are Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink, Daffodil Delight and Crumbcake.
I do have a few cards that need making before the weekend, so hopefully I will feel up to it. I have the ideas, just not the energy!

Pretty Pink Owl
Today I have a simple but cute owl card to share. It is a simplfied version of this card I made a little while back.
As you all know I am just in love with the owl punch. I am also a fan of the doily and think that they are quite cute together. I am going to make this card in a few different colour combos, as it is quick and easy but effective.
I just looked at this photo and realised her eyelids need straightening!
I have used the Sweet Stitches DSP with some Crumbcake, Regal Rose and Pretty in Pink cardstock. The branch is from the 2 Step Bird Punch. The sentiment is from Well Scripted.
Here is a close up of the details:

So Tweet
Today I have a card that I have made for this weeks, A La Card Monkey Challenge. This week the challenge was to use their sketch with any theme of your choice.
I have flipped the sketch to suit my card. I think this would make a cute card for the birth of a baby girl.
The writing on the tag says 'so tweet'.

Another Vintage Card...
Just a quick post as I am about to get ready to head out tonight. Yippee!! Although in this cold and rainy Sydney weather, I could just stay in....
I have made a second entry for the A La Card Monkey Vintage Challenge.
I am very happy with this card, it is so pretty! I used my newly inked Sew Suite Set from the Autumn Winter Mini. Took me a while to decide I needed it, but me thinks it is going to get rather inky!
I got the idea for the skirt from Sarah-Jane Kale over at Janeybell Designs. I think I may be making more cards like this.

Going Vintage
Hi there!
Today I have a card that is a little unlike what I usually do. It is a lot more vintage than usual. But I wanted to play along with a few chaellenges and thought I would do well to push myself out of my comfort zone. I am going to enter this card into 3 challenges.
This week A La Card Monkey has gone vintage.
The 2-4-6 challenge over at The Shabby Tea Room also caught my eye. The criteria is 2 different patterned papers, 4 buttons and 6 layers. There is also a cute inspiration pic.
Deesigns by Nina Dee has a weekly ribbon challenge, this week it is pleated ribbon.
Here is my card:
The coloured rose was inspired by the magnificent Teneale Williams. Although mine is nothing on hers! I need a lot more practice at colouring!
I have used the Brights DSP stack (old olive) and I cracked open my packet of the ever so lovely Lap of Luxury DSP.
It isn't easy to see in the pics but I have sponged the edges of the cardstock/DSP in Old Olive and the Doily in Crumbcake. The bottom left hand corner of the DSP is also rolled.
Here is a close up of the details:

I have once again made some twine lollipops. This time I have made 3 small lollipops. So cute, I think they look good enough to eat!
I have stamped the greeting onto the seam binding using Staz on. It took me a few goes to get it in the right spot but I finally got there. The top of the sentiment needed a little more ink, a few more goes and hopefully I'll get it right.

Hey there!
Today is my first time playing over at the Colour Throwdown. Their colours this week are right up my alley....did you guess? They have included Melon Mambo! I am also going to enter this card into two 'Anything Goes' challenges, one over at The Paper Players and The Ribbon Carousel Challenge Blog.
To view all the fab entries, click on the pics above.
Here is my card.
I hadn't done any of those cute little owls for a while, so I couldn't help myself! Here is a close up of the focal image.
